Red mud sedimentation section is an important link in alumina production. Alumina flocculant is related to the speed of red mud sedimentation, the performance of red mud compression and the quality of sodium aluminate solution, and then affects the product quality and production efficiency of aluminum oxide plant.

Alumina flocculant is an organic high molecular polymer. The polymer accelerates the aggregation of red mud particles, promotes the rapid separation of red mud and sodium aluminate solution, and improves the flocculation and sedimentation rate through adsorption, bridging and electric neutralization.

Primary Effects

Instruction of polyacrylamide

Before using,dissolve polyacrylamide with tap water at a ratio of 0.1%-0.5% and stir until fully dissolved.
Do not use iron materials to stir or hold PAM, because the reaction performance of PAM will decrease when it encounters iron.
The dosage needs to be calculated through laboratory pilot tests, with the aim of achieving the aggregation of flocs and presenting the phenomenon of sludge-water separation.
It is better to use up the prepared PAM solution within 24 hours.
Products should be stored in unopened package in a dry atmosphere at temperature no higher than 35℃.
