The dosage range varies from 0.2 - 3.0 ppm depending on effluent type and application. Always conduct jar testing to evaluate performance and determine optimal dosage.
Place effluent sample in a beaker, add designated flocculant, agitate for 1 minute at 100-120 rpm, then slowly agitate at 60 rpm. Observe floc formation and note sedimentation rate and top solution clarity.
Dissolving Time: Most flocculants require approximately 1 hour of agitation for complete dissolution. Incomplete mixing or lumping may inhibit performance.
Agitation Speed: Ideal revolution is 200-400 rpm. High-speed agitation without motor revolution reduction may damage flocculant molecules.
Dissolving Concentration: Standard concentration is 0.1-0.2%. Starting at slightly higher concentration then diluting before use is also effective.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves, and boots. Wash skin splashes immediately with water. For eye exposure, flush with fresh water and seek medical attention. Do not ingest. Refer to MSDS for complete safety details.
