General Instruction

DCA-58 is a high-performance water decolorant with 50% solid content specifically formulated for wastewater color treatment applications in Bangladesh and international markets.

In cutting fluid, metalworking fluid, and machining coolant wastewater treatment, water decoloring agents like DCA-58 are crucial due to their ability to remove color, emulsified oils, and other contaminants commonly found in such effluents. Here’s how DCA-58 works in this type of application:
  1. Breaking Emulsions and Enhancing Oil Removal: Machining and metalworking fluids often contain emulsified oils, which can be challenging to separate. DCA-58 destabilizes these emulsions, allowing oil particles to coagulate and separate more efficiently. This improves the effectiveness of oil removal systems and helps reduce oil levels in the treated water.
  2. Effective Color Removal from Additives and Dyes: Metalworking fluids often contain dyes and additives that impart color to the wastewater. DCA-58, as a cationic polymer, binds to these dye molecules, neutralizing and aggregating them for efficient color removal. This results in a clearer effluent and supports compliance with discharge standards for color.
  3. Reduction of COD and Total Suspended Solids (TSS): The presence of organic compounds, oils, and metal particulates often contributes to high COD and TSS in metalworking wastewater. Application Guidelines
  • Dilute DCA-58 with tap-water, to get 5% solution before use.
  • Ajust the effluent sample pH to 7.5-8.0, then add 100-200ppm DCA-58 solution
  • Mix for several minutes to form flocs, and check the dosing rate.
  • Combine with PAC-300 if needed – do not pre-mix
  • Dose PAM solution for quick settlling
  • Allow settling or use flotation for separation
